Head and Heart – 100% Drinking Cacao

From Livin Koko | Stocked by Marama Flax Creations

From land to hand, this 100% Drinking Cacao is a gift of grounding and connection. Grown with care, fermented under the sun, roasted and stone-ground, this ceremonial-grade cacao holds the same values we honour in harakeke (flax) weaving — patience, intention, and respect for the process.

At Marama Flax Creations, cacao has become part of our practice. For Tanita, owner and creative behind Marama Flax Creations, a warm cup of cacao is a morning ritual — a way to ground, open the heart, and set intentions for the day ahead. We also use it at the beginning of our workshops, creating stillness and connection before weaving harakeke or working with dried flowers.

Cacao is naturally rich in magnesium, iron, and antioxidants, making it both nourishing and heart-opening. It supports relaxation, focus, and mindfulness — the perfect companion for creativity or quiet reflection.

How to Enjoy:

  • In a pot, stir 2 tablespoons into 1 cup of milk or water. Sweeten if desired.

  • Stir together, let it melt - (don’t let it boil).

  • Sip slowly as part of your mindfulness practice.

  • Pour into your favourite cup, (most important) and enjoy!

Head and Heart Drinking Cacao — full of goodness, grounding, and mindfulness, woven into the rhythm of everyday life.

Caring for your creation

Your creation is handmade using dried and preserved florals and harakeke (flax). Unlike fresh flowers, it does not need water.

Keep it indoors, away from moisture and humidity, and out of direct sunlight so the natural colours do not fade. Avoid placing it directly under heating or air conditioning. Handle it gently, as dried and preserved florals become more delicate with time, and dust it whenever it needs it.

Harakeke is a natural material and keeps changing as it dries, so you may notice shifts in colour, texture or shape. That is part of the beauty of working with natural materials. Each creation is handmade, so no two pieces are ever exactly the same.

Shipping and pickup
